We will have a large number of YoDeck players connecting to our account. The people using the players are unsophisicated and not under our control to follow instructions. They will not have access to an Ethernet connection and we can't be sure that if we set up the Wi-Fi SSIE and password before we send them a player that this information is correct. We need to make the connection of the player via Wi-Fi as simple as possible. Even the plugging in of a keyboard and following the Wi-Fi wizard is going to be an issue with these users. The models used by devices Like the Amazon Alexa should be aplied to the YoDeck player.
The easiest would be to use the Bluetooth capability of the Raspberry Pi and an app to interract with the Player. Another alternative is the one the the Amazon Alexa used for thier first version of the Alexa which was not using Bluetooth. In this version they forced the device to go into 'setup mode' where a special SSID was enabled. YoDeck-XXXX for example. An app would then connect to this SSID and run through the set up of the SSID it will use moving forward.
One of these methods is going to make YoDeck Wi-Fi set up a whole lot easier for the layman. It will make it easier for people to use the product for the application we are using it for.
