Alignment tools for the layout editor

What would be really helpful are alignment tools for the layout editor. For example: * Select an item and click on new button "Center" => This centers the item on the page * Select several items and click on "Align Left" => This aligns all items to the left side of the first selected item See attached screenshot from Inkscape.
