My devices are installed in offshore drilling uints around the world and due to their location are subject to frequent periods of connectivity disruption. These disruptions originate either due to poor bandwidth from the satellite internet provider or internal obstacles between the access point and the device. In order to support my end users, an audit log of online status would allow me to monitor trends affecting a particular device and address their connectivity issues.
