It would be nice to have an (optional) start/end date in a playlist item, so that the item is skipped on dates outside this range. That would make it easier to put items in a playlist that have a limited validity. E.g. an image that says "Happy Easter" which is shown a couple of days before Easter and is automatically "removed" (rather: omitted from the display of the playlist) afterwards. The user would then manually remove the item later when making other modifications to the playlist. Of course it already is possible to do it using a schedule, but it is more cumbersome as separate playlists and corresponding schedules have to be created only for this.
